We're looking for a Data Engineer for a consulting startup that focuses on architecture and engineering of analytic ecosystems. Their goal is to help organizations define and implement data-driven analytical environments. The company was founded by former consultants of Teradata Corporation, with over eight years of experience in designing and implementing data processing systems in the field of Big Data. Currently, each of them has over a dozen successful projects implemented throughout Europe

Requirements:

2+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer;

Proficiency in programming languages used for data processing (Python or Scala);

Professional experience with Apache Spark technologies;

Strong experience with SQL databases (MySQL, Oracle, IBM, Teradata, Postgres);

Good knowledge of Linux;

Experience with Apache Hadoop (Hortonworks or Cloudera);

Good knowledge of Apache Airflow;

Good English skills (B2 minimum).

Nice to have:

Independence in making decisions;

Good knowledge of CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Artifactory);

Responsibilities:

Implementation of new power supply and data processing systems, including a data warehouse;

Building a centralized, performant, and reliable data analytics ecosystem;

Translating complex business requirements into internal data products with a high degree of autonomy;

Collecting, analyzing, and processing real-time streaming data;

Building, documenting, and managing data pipelines, databases, and machine learning algorithms;

Managing your own product;

Use creativity and skills to innovate elegant solutions for problems.
