• 4-6 years experience working as a Front-End developer 
• Experience with Shopify themes, plugins and templates (Liquid) 
• Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) 
• Comfortable with at least one JavaScript framework (Vue, React, Angular, etc)
• Understanding of key design principles with experience converting Figma designs into web pages 
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB) and web servers (e.g. Apache)
• Strong understanding of SEO 
• Experience with versioning software such as BitBucket and other tools (e.g. JIRA)
• Desire to challenge the status-quo and develop new ideas or approaches that haven’t been considered 
• Keen to both learn and teach - leadership comes from all levels of the organization but we also always have blind spots we can improve on
• Willingness to try new approaches or accept ideas from other members on the team
• Experience leading projects/roadmap design is a bonus 
• Ability to be both autonomous in your role and collaborative in the team when required
• Fluency in English; written and spoken.

A Day in the Life: 

We are looking for a qualified front-end web developer to join our software development team. We would like to meet you if you’re passionate about web platforms and translating code into user-friendly apps. As a front-end web developer, you’ll collaborate with our engineers, product managers, marketing and UX team to develop functional & high-quality web applications. 

The working hours will be based on North American EST (Montreal) time zone.

1. We are looking for someone to help improve our existing website and web-based platforms. Ultimately, you will be responsible for implementing UIUX design frameworks for both our website and web-based platforms. You’ll have the important task of bridging the gap between the art of digital design and the science of computer programming to transform the agreed upon visual elements into code. The team will rely on your expertise as they build future roadmaps and develop new projects to increase user engagement. This role will be heavily involved with developing the front-end of our website using Shopify. To gain a better understanding of the role, we’ve included some key responsibilities below.
