Job Description

Tasks:

Create something new: You will work in one of our most exciting IT areas - the Bosch Hybrid Cloud -, which enables the Bosch business units to deploy their innovative business models in mobility, industry, smart home and other areas on the Bosch Private Cloud

Reliable implementation: In the role of the Cloud DevOps Engineer, you and your agile product team are responsible for the full lifecycle (concept, development and operations) of your own on-premises container service based on OpenShift and your individual automation code

Integrated implementation: You are responsible for the integration and operations of your services into the cloud marketplace and its core components (e.g., Monitoring, SLA Reporting) and you develop product-specific microservices (e.g., glue code, service broker)

Help shape the future: You are interested in and informed about new cloud technologies and design the further development of our products, organization, and implementation of the Bosch Hybrid Cloud Strategy

Take responsibility: You are part of our agile product team and therefore responsible for the fulfillment of the business demands and a close customer communication.

Experience cooperation: You will be part of our worldwide Bosch Hybrid Cloud Team which consists currently of multiple product teams in Europe, Asia and Americas

Qualifications

Profile:

Programming skills: You are advanced in developing microservices and scripts with Go/Java and Bash/Python

CI/CD Skills: Automation first. You know well how to setup complex pipelines and create comprehensive playbooks using tools like Git, Jenkins, Concourse, Artifactory

Infrastructure Skills: You’ve a very good knowledge of Kubernetes/Docker, Linux RHEL or CentOS and modern cloud infrastructures based on OpenStack or VMware virtualization

Personality: You should be a reliable team player, you love to innovate and you’re highly passionate about cloud technologies

Working Practice: You are a solution and customer-oriented technical entrepreneur. You’re organized and structured and you feel responsible and comfortable in an agile working environment

Experience: You’ve in-depth professional experience in software engineering and preferably knowledge in one or more IT infrastructure areas (Compute, Network, Storage)

Enthusiasm: You’re interest in current IT cloud technologies and container services and you’d like to stay always on top of technology trends

Languages: You’ve good English skills (both written and spoken). German is a plus

Education: Completed degree with a focus in information technology (Computer Science etc.) or similar qualification
