Opis oferty

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of test development and debugging experience in JMeter and/or NeoLoad (or LoadRunner, or Blazemeter)

  • Direct experience with scripting via Java, Bash (managing Linux Load Generators), Apache Groovy (for JMeter functions). Other scripting languages will be a plus.

  • Knowledge of industry standard performance test tools and experience developing complex test scripts like adding encryption to request, compressing the request, decompressing the response

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, continuous integration, and the full SDLC

  • Exemplary written communication skills

  • Experience in performance creating test strategy documents

  • Demonstrated leadership, a passion and desire to excel in the job

We are in search of a talented Performance Test Engineer to help us with a big, exciting project!

About Our Customer:

The customer is an American company based in Chicago. It accelerates digital transformation for the insurance and automotive industries with AI, IoT, and workflow solutions.

About Our Project

The Enterprise Quality Assurance team is a Shared Service team consisting of testing professionals responsible for supporting product development and infrastructure teams at the customer’s company. The team specializes in functional testing, automation framework development, and performance testing. The team’s primary goal is to provide testing services that will allow for faster delivery of high-quality solutions to the customer’s clients. 

Project Team:

EQA Performance Testing is a team under EQA, specializing in defining and documenting the best practices in performance testing, and rolling it out to different projects across CCC to run via CI/CD pipelines for monthly product / feature releases, and off cycle code change verifications across multiple technologies in Web, Mobile and API testing. We collaborate with project teams to strategize & align long term solution for performance assessment including roadmap, tools, framework & approaches. We define performance testing processes to fill the gaps between the as-is processes and industry standard best practices and pilot the same on selected projects. We develop performance and capacity assessment for different hardware, and virtualized middleware solutions.

Team: 3 Performance Engineers onshore and 4 Performance Engineers offshore 

Daily meetings: 9:00 am CST

Zakres obowiązków

  1. Work as an individual to develop and enhance performance tests suites, build framework for our continuous performance engineering solutions (CPE) 
  2. Work in JMeter, MetaBase, AWS, NeoLoad, Grafana, Prometheus, PostgreSQL, and Jenkins tools to refine/rewrite existing CPE solutions 
  3. Author and review high-level design, low-level design for the CPE platform 
  4. Author performance tests in JMeter and NeoLoad 
  5. Contribute to load, performance, service reliability, and stress testing 
  6. Contribute creative ideas to evolve our Agile-based development and testing methodologies 
  7. Up-level the team’s maturity by contributing performance test script’s code reviews, improving test frameworks, CI/CD, monitoring nightly tests, identifying performance test coverage gaps, and other SDLC process components 
  8. Understand AWS Solutions to build solutions and meet or enhance the testing needs 
  9. Ability to quickly change from project to project in a fast-paced environment
