We are looking for an IT Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d) who will be the vital player ensuring the successful delivery of value in the field of Pricing + Quoting Sea Logistics for our digital products.
Your Role
In your role as an IT Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d), you will be involved with multiple international cross-functional teams in the end-to-end delivery process of our applications. You will clarify topics and issues with Stakeholders, test our complex applications and interfaces until they are ready for production and support with the further automation of our test scenarios.
Your Responsibilities
We are building up a new IT team in Wroclaw, which will be the counterpart for our already existing and strong team in Hamburg. Together we want to grow even further as one product team, hand in hand with the business unit and soon with you
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development setup and processes following our agile principles
Take over test responsibility within the cross-functional teams and test applications based on functional and technical requirements
Execute manual acceptance test using JIRA as the issue tracking collaboration tool and specify automated test cases and scenarios for interfaces for the development teams
Handle our deployment management within our testing landscape and execute regression testing of go-live ready digital products
Monitoring of service performance, application server logs and consuming interfaces of mission critical digital products
Detailed error analysis on different levels (functional, application server log files, database, message validation (web services, RabbitMQ), etc.
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track defects and issues
Collaboration with business units, UX experts, architects and software engineers as well as with other products and service departments
Your Skills and Experiences
At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance engineering within a complex IT landscape
Academic degree of computer sciences or equivalent education / knowledge
Have the strong will to evolve personally as well as a team in a dynamic environment
Foster a no-blame culture, dare to fail and share opinions
Knowledge in software testing standards, methods and convention
Experience in test case design and test case execution
Basic knowledge of test automation techniques and software programming as well as databases
Analytical skills which help to identify technical issues in the system under test
Ability to explain technical issues, good communication skills, have a team player attitude and reliability
Skills and knowledge about SoapUI, SwaggerUI are good to have
Be hands-on and willing to write your own end-to-end test cases via Cypress UI
Fluency in written and spoken English. Polish is highly appreciated. German skills are nice to have
