Logical thinking
Software testing is mostly all about logic. So, for a good Quality Assurance Engineer ability of logical thinking is one of the most important skills. You should have the ability to link the causes with their effects.

‘How to click’ 
At the beginning of every Quality Assurance Engineer, there is a lot of clicking and checking. You should know ‘how to click’, you need to have a basic orientation on how computers, the internet, and software applications work. 

Basic knowledge of the IT world
Entering an IT company isn’t easy at first. Everything is new, with so many new concepts and words. To eliminate the risk of future communication problems, we’re seeking people which have basic knowledge about this world, who know what Scrum or who know the basic IT terms.

Basic ISTQB knowledge
ISTQB knowledge is our ‘nice to have’ thing. In our team, that’s the basic source of theoretical knowledge and it will be easier to communicate if you have some of the basic ISTQB concepts

SCRUM methodology

All of our projects we run in SCRUM so knowing it already is an advantage.

Experience with DevTools

DevTools is one of the essential tools for junior Software Testers to use. Any previous contact with this tool will help you to understand our job better.

Mobile Apps

In Codibly Quality Assurance team we are testing mobile applications also. So any experience with mobile application testing or any experience with using mobile applications knowingly and responsibly will be a plus.

Soft activities

Communication in English

In Codibly we communicate in Polish but we’re cooperating with many international clients. You should be able to speak with them, so you need to be fluent in English both in speaking and writing.

Willingness to learn

In Quality Assurance world, you had to learn all the time. You can learn so much from our talented team members, but to learn you need the ability and desire to learn. You shouldn’t be scared of asking questions and be willing to hear and analyze the answers.

Good communication skills

Since we will spend a lot of time with each other, we need to communicate well. Communication is a crucial ability for Quality Assurance Engineer, you will have to communicate both with developers and project managers, in the future with clients also. You should be open-minded and you should have the ability to listen.

Be a team player and challenge others

In our team we’re cooperating with each other all the time, not only project-based but also in knowledge-sharing areas. We are challenging each other and trying to improve our’s projects quality every day. We’re counting on each other. So you should definitely be a team player.
