Qualifications

Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS

We believe these two are the foundation of frontend technologies, so you should have a solid knowledge of writing proper markup and how to style things, including new browser features.

Knowledge of PHP

We are writing code in PHP based on SOLID rules. A piece of strong knowledge about the PHP standard and the latest version of this language is a good base to work with us.

REST API

We usually write API that conforms to the constraints of REST architectural style, so having a clue about HTTP requests will be a plus.

Knowledge about CQRS

We are willingly using the CQRS approach in most of our projects. Knowledge about a pattern that separates read and write operations for a data store will be helpful in work. We value experience with using Symfony components like Messenger.

Experience with GIT

We use GIT as a version control system, so you should know it well enough to perform daily tasks.

Tests

If you want to make changes to the code without worrying if something is broken you have to write tests. Making tests in PHPUnit (units, integration, functional) is our standard, so if you have experience in testing, you have an advantage over others.

Soft activities

Communication in English

Within Codibly we speak Polish, but we work on international projects. You should be able to communicate in English on at least a B2 level and speak with clients on a daily basis, during daily or other SCRUM meetings.

SCRUM methodology

All of our projects we run in SCRUM so knowing it already gives you easier cooperating.

Willingness to learn

Since you’re an intern it is absolutely crucial that you want to learn from other more experienced team members. You should ask as many questions as comes to your mind and be willing to hear and analyse answers.

Be a team player and challenge others

In all of our projects, we’re trying to not just gather requirements and deliver products according to them. We are challenging each idea and doing our best to find the best possible solution. So we are looking for great team players, who are communicative, can challenge concepts, and hear others’ opinions.
