As a QA Engineer in Cinema Technology QA group, you will analyze and assure the quality of hardware and software products which enable next generation of Dolby technologies that will be used in thousands of cinema theatres across the globe. You will be responsible for designing, automating and executing functional and system level test cases as well as maintaining and creating QA test environments.
Responsibilities:
Designing, setting up, documenting and maintaining hardware test environments for cinema related products including projectors, servers, audio processors and amplifiers
Executing manual and automated test cases
Reporting issues through a formal bug tracking system and work with the engineering team to help isolate, debug, and resolve issues
Creating test design and test cases specifications using advanced test design techniques
Staying abreast of audio/video industry product design trends as well as software development and testing tools and best practices
Requirements:
Professional experience in software testing including creation of Test Design and Test Cases specifications
Knowledge of current software testing industry tools and best practices
Demonstrated skills in multiple test design techniques
Experience with test execution covering functional, performance, negative, stress and load testing
Experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems and command line interfaces
Knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, SSH, NTP, FTP, HTML, XML, SNMP, SOAP
Knowledge of analog and digital audio domain
Knowledge of AES67, PTP and other Audio-over-IP technologies
Ability to design, setup, configure and track issues in complex audio systems
Ability to achieve results, meet deadlines and adjust to quickly changing priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment
Very good oral and written communication in English
Ability to cooperate with international teams in various time zones (incl. US West Coast)
Nice to have
Experience in audio related industries, including live or studio productions
Experience with Audio Precision, R&S or other audio measurement tools
Experience in Python programming
