Requirements description

- Over 10 years of commercial work experience in managing IT teams;

- Over 10 years of experience in programming using Java

- Experience in trading area;

- Extensive experience in financial/banking/investment banking area;

- Experience working with investment systems supporting trading, post-execution trade flows, trade lifecycle, position and PnL generation, and portfolio management

- Fluency in SDLC and tools used for software development;

- Deep knowledge of modern technological development areas such as microservices, Cloud-native, multithreading, advanced unit testing, and others;

- Knowledge of SQL and other databases;

- Desire to maintain technical skills through code reviews and individual contributions;

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to collaborate both with IT specialists using technical language, business users and Leadership;

- Fluent English language (both written and spoken).

For our client we are looking for Software Engineering Manager to lead one of our Client’s Technology Department development teams in the domain of Trade Processing, Confirmation/Affirmation and Settlement, Fund Processing etc.

Our client is an American, multinational financial services company, that deploys discretionary long/short equity, systematic, and macro investing strategies, complemented by a growing portfolio of private market investments.

The work is hybrid - 8 days a month working from the Warsaw office is must-have!

About the team:

The team is supporting trade processing, position keeping, and trade management systems. The team is working closely with business users to customize and implement solutions supporting trade processing scale and stability.

Zakres obowiązków

1. Collaborating and reporting directly to the Head of Office;
2. Be a part of a team responsible for budgeting, asset and project planning, quality management, recruitment, and all other activities connected with career and business development;
3. Working closely with other leaders of the Department;
4. Coordinating activities with business users, Software Engineering Managers, and Tech Leads in terms of maintenance and improvement of existing applications within their domain and delivering functional enhancements to support the company's rapidly changing business requirements;
5. Support teams in managing and problem-solving on an operational level;
6. Be a representative of your team, promoting the company’s values, taking care of team relationships, and contact with other team managers and teams to encourage common initiatives;
7. Conducting training, mentoring and leading your group to create an effective and solid team.
