We are looking for Lead Java Consultants with Java, Microservices, Spring, Spring Boot experience to join our network of more than 5000 consultants in 20 countries. Numerous new and ongoing projects ranging from enterprise content solutions, mobile apps, and data services to experience-driven enterprise e-commerce, user experience, and marketing. Valtech is a founding member of MACH Alliance, a group that educates enterprises on best-of-breed Microservices, APIs, Cloud, and Headless (MACH) technology. Among the projects delivered are works for Levi's, BMW Online Store, Aerolíneas Argentinas.

The ideal candidate's skills include:

/ 5+ years of Java development experience
/ Deep knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot
/ Proven experience with setting up, building, and maintaining microservices architectures
/ Experience working with REST-based APIs and integrations with third-party systems
/ Proven experience with setting up and maintaining continuous integration and delivery pipelines
/ Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably in enterprise environments
/ Experience with infra-as-code solutions like Terraform
/ Experience or affinity with Commerce and Experience platforms
/ Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or equivalent
/ Excellent spoken and written English
/ Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies and working in cross-functional teams

Optional:

/ Experience in other modern languages and frameworks like C#, Typescript, NodeJS, GoLang and Python or at least desire to learn one of them. Supporting a multitude of languages is preferable

/ Certification with AWS will be a plus

/ Knowledge of one or more cloud provider landscapes and their services for AWS
/ Knowledge of Serverless Frameworks/Tools i.e. (Lambda) for AWS
/ Solid understanding of scaling, monitoring, and logging when using cloud services for building applications

The client is rapidly growing digital retailor (UK and Ireland). It is number one among shoppers who appreciate flexible payment options. More than 2.2 million people visit their website every day. The client is now heavily focused on upgrading its existing systems and platforms, leveraging a wider range of modern cloud-based (AWS) technologies.

Recruitment Process

We want to carry out the process quickly and efficiently, so you will take part in three recruitment steps.
1) HR interview with one of our talent acquisition consultants, during which you will get more details about the company, the project and team. we also will discuss your current professional situation and your plans for career development.
2) Technical interview with one of our technical guys - you will discuss technical details and challenges to face on the project as well as share your technical background.
3) Final interview with the management team (team manager, people partner and delivery manager) - more broad discussion to summarize the process and a perfect chance for you to talk to management team.

Zakres obowiązków

1. Build and maintain the glue between touchpoints (websites, in-store kiosks, device touchscreen, apps, etc.) and cloud-native solutions. These can be third-party API based SaaS/PaaS solutions of partners that you configure and extend, but also (micro)services and applications that you yourself build using public cloud services
2. Create end-to-end solutions together with a team of colleagues working in different disciplines, ranging from cloud engineers (infra) to UI developers and from Business Analysts to Quality Assurance Engineers. Solutions involve integrations with frontends, third-party API’s like Payment and back-office systems, which act as systems of record for business-critical data
3. Do within the context of MACH architectures (Microservices, API-first, Headless, and Cloud-Native) leveraging SaaS and FaaS platforms like Commercetools, Contentstack, Contentful, Vue Storefront, and Frontastic
4. Focus on performance, stability, and traceability in everything you do and seek only the highest quality in code;
5. Be responsible for (infra-as-code) deployments and align with the cloud engineering team to get stuff done when responsibilities cross into their territory.
