JOB PURPOSE: 

As a IT Support, You will: 

  • Under limited supervision of the Regional IT Services Manager (or designate) directly provide onsite support for a variety of IT hardware and software, such as, but not limited to: 
  • Office productivity software (Microsoft 365) 
  • Personal computer hardware/software and peripherals 
  • Mobile phone/PDAs & tablets 
  • Network printers, server and network hardware equipment, computer room/network wiring closet facilities, and phone systems 
  • Warehouse management devices and infrastructure 
  • Video and Web Conferencing equipment and infrastructure 
  • Ensure that local IT infrastructure is physically secure, reliable, operational and meets current global IT standards, exceptions to be reported to the local Regional IT Services Manager Under the direction of Network/System Administrators perform requested onsite tasks to aid in the troubleshooting or remediation of problems 
  • Support and ensure McCain IS standards and policies are followed and report exceptions to the appropriate departments or Regional IT Services Manager 
  • Develop a sustainable and productive working relationship with end users of all IS services as this position is one of the most highly visible 'faces' of IS 
  • Ensure that local business contacts are aware of all global technology services, their benefits and availability within the sites for which they are responsible 
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in local IT systems with a thorough knowledge of both Plant and Office systems 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Directly provide onsite or work with third party vendors support a variety of IT hardware and software, such as, but not limited to: personal computer hardware/software and peripherals, mobile phones, network printers, server and network hardware, Warehouse Management equipment, computer room/network wiring closet facilities, and phone systems Depending on regional requirements, may be assigned to: monitor system backups, perform restoration of data, perform mobile phone account administration (add/modify/delete), raise purchase requests, obtain quotes, receive orders, liaise with local contractors and explain work requirements ensuring quotes are accurate 
  • Pro-actively monitor work queues to ensure all local incidents and work orders assigned to you are completed within SLA targets. Monitor the effectiveness of local information systems, adequacy of systems performance, integrity and security of systems and identify repeat incidents and problems 
  • Conduct software testing and installation in support of application packing and deployment Adhere to all appropriate IT Service Management practices for Incident Management, Problem Management and Change management using the ITSM tools for self-assigning tickets, following up on tickets and providing resolution 
  • Management - responsible to ensure standard McCain PC images are applied and maintained on McCain assets. All devices are registered and up to date in the Asset Database 
  • Project Management - Drive and implement all global projects by providing information, training and guidance to internal customers that my benefit by their use. Liaise with local and regional engineering teams, and local plant managers on projects which have an IT requirement 
  • Documentation - Ensure that appropriate documentation exists and is current for common IT Tasks. May be requested to create new documentation using Global templates and/or update existing documentation 


Key Qualifications & Experiences: 

  • 5+  years' experience is required/desirable for candidates applying for this position 
  • 3+ years' experience in support Microsoft office 365 
  • University degree in IT or equivalent 
  • High level understanding of Windows Desktop operating systems such as Windows 10. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, Malware prevention & PC security 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Polish and English
  • Minimum technical certifications, A+, preferred Microsoft certifications & ITIL certification 
  • Nice to have general networking technologies including Wireless LANs 
  • Innovative thinking and analysis that influences a more productive environment for our customers 
  • Effective time management and organizational skills 
  • Possess the ability to remain calm under stress and time pressures
