Atlassian is looking for experienced Developers to join one of our Migrations engineering teams. Atlassian's engineering team is responsible for shaping the future by helping thousands of teams all around the world get work done.

As a Java Developer well into your career, we know you're exceptional at what you do, but you're still want to grow and hone in on skills as a developer... That's why we're placing a heavy emphasis on leaning on your expertise in one or more tech stacks but still learning and growing. At the same time, you will have a chance to design solutions that solve customer problems across the migration to cloud space. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

In this role, you'll get the chance to:

• Guide projects independently, from problem exploration through design to launch
• Code in Java, as well possibility to learn other languages
• Gain deep technical knowledge of Atlassian products and migration to cloud
• Apply architectural standards and start using them on new projects
• Contribute to code reviews and documentation and take on complex bug fixes
• Write useful technical documentation
• Mentor other team members

• Min. 5 years of professional experience
• Excellent understanding and working knowledge of Java
• Passion for collaborating, solving hard problems, and asking questions
• Deep architectural understanding of web applications
• Good knowledge of back-end technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, and SQL
• Experience with data structures, in particular, how they are implemented and how to apply them
• Practical experience working in a product organization
