NVIDIA is hiring senior distributed systems engineers for solution engineering and onboarding NVIDIA partners and customers on our AI and DRIVE platforms for autonomous vehicles.
Our team is embedded into the AI Infrastructure and deep learning platform teams building a software 2.0 cloud platform. Together, with Autonomous Vehicles teams, we will help advance NVIDIA's capacity to deploy solutions for one of the most exciting problems of our time: autonomous vehicles!
What you will be doing:
Spend majority of the time engaging with customers directly to provide technical solutions and productize DRIVE and AI platforms. Document requirements, designs, and solutions, organize training sessions, demonstrate new technologies, and drive adoption across teams working on autonomous driving.
Embed in Autonomous Vehicle teams and cloud platform teams and deeply understand AV needs and the deep learning platforms on a technical level. Use this expertise to onboard NVIDIA customers and partners onto the AV platforms.
Craft solutions for the next generation of software 2.0 development and debugging platform using real and synthetic / simulated datasets for autonomous driving.
Analyze complex technical issues and build, develop, and deploy reusable, generalized, and customized solutions that integrate our AI platform.
Deliver rapid iterations of software based on user feedback and metrics.
Build scalable distributed systems, compute and data pipelines, and web applications that help index, mine, transform, analyze, develop, and debug deep learning datasets and applications.
Collaborate across org boundaries with a diverse set of hardware and software engineers.
Showcase your creativity and technical excellence to realize the future of self-driving cars!
What we need to see:
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Architecture, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
5+ years of proven experience in designing and developing production level and enterprise scale software that includes distributed backend systems and web application development.
5+ years of prior experience deploying, upgrading, migrating, and driving user adoption of sophisticated enterprise scale systems.
Proven software and solutions development background and proven ability demonstrate complex new technologies.
Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
You possess advanced programming skills to build debug and tune distributed storage and compute systems, Linux internals, backend services, microservices, web technologies.
Strong programming skills with hands-on coding expertise.
A specialist programmer in Go, Scala, C/C++, Python, or equivalent.
Strong programming background that incorporates methodologies like data structures, design patterns, OOP, and test driven development.
Well versed in agile methodology.
Comfortable with a customer focused and high paced environment that includes dealing with ambiguity.
Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills, you have the ability to work successfully with multi-functional teams, principles and architects and coordinate effectively across organizational boundaries and geographies.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
A go getter attitude to dive deeper and understand technical requirements.
Experience with autonomous vehicles' domain, standards, and processes.
Practice with Python SDKs, Python packaging, cross language bindings (C++/Python) and/or the Bazel build system.
Experience in working with complex software systems on Linux.
Strong understanding of Docker and orchestration systems such as Kubernetes.
Enthusiasm to collaborate and build supporting development infrastructure like CI/CD and DevOps.
