As a Scala Spark Engineer, you’ll be working in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) creating pipelines through Spark Shell analysing data in one of the biggest Datalakes in the world and using AirFlow to validate tests that you write. We work to promote the agile culture in a strongly regulated industry, so it’s expected from you to challenge the way things are done whilst following the current rules accurately. 

Zakres obowiązków

1. The project is the next generation of tooling for combatting financial crime. Covering investment banking, commercial banking and retail banking globally. The architecture comprises Hadoop, elastic search microservices, and relational databases. 
2. Burn the Sprint backlog and help the team to accomplish all goals 
3. Work closely with other software developers (on-site, and remotely in the UK and China), 
4. Follow Scrum framework practices 
5. Standard code maintenance (testing, refactoring, fixing) 
6. Help Product Owners to understand and refine technical backlog items 
7. Share knowledge in the team and across the wider teams 
8. Take part in the e2e product dev cycle, including releases to production
