Senior iOS Engineer â€“ Bugsnag

• You'll work in a team of open-source engineers, maintaining and improving the libraries that go into our customers' apps to capture the crucial diagnostics they rely on for debugging when things go wrong.
• You will get to maintain our Apple SDKs on GitHub as well as design and build new product features.
• As well as working in native iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS, we’ll give you experience in a growing number of frameworks, such as React Native, Flutter, Unity and Unreal Engine.

About the role

As a Senior iOS Engineer at SmartBear, you'll work in a team of open-source engineers, maintaining and improving the libraries that go into our customers' apps to capture the crucial diagnostics they rely on for debugging when things go wrong. Our SDKs are installed in thousands of apps worldwide and used by many big-name software companies. Our team is growing, and we're taking on bold challenges every day

• Lead the development of our open-source Cocoa library and associated tools on Github.
• Work on Apple-based platforms through cross-platform frameworks such as React Native, Unity, Unreal Engine and Flutter.
• Design and build new product features and investigate new framework and platform integrations.
• Improve the product by tracking down and fixing issues faced by our customers.
• Work alongside, and review contributions from, other open source engineers in on our web server and native mobile/desktop libraries

We are looking for you if you have

• A strong background in software development (minimum 5 years) and Apple platforms (minimum 3 years) in Objective-C and Swift.
• Experience of low-level C or C++ development.
• A solid understanding of the interaction between a running app and the OS and device it is running on.
• Familiarity with a range of package managers and build tooling used in the Apple ecosystem.
• A systematic approach to problem solving and an eagerness to learn new skills and embrace new technologies.
• Enthusiastic team participation with strong interpersonal and formal communication skills.
